UPDATE: CFINR award entry deadline extended to February 20

Now in its third year, the Center for Integrity in News Reporting, or  CFINR Awards , honor journalism that reflects the long-standing principle articulated by Adolph Ochs: “to give the news impartially, without fear or favor.” The awards are focused exclusively on news reporting — not opinion or commentary — and are open to journalists nationwide.

For the current awards cycle, CFINR will present six $25,000 cash prizes (a total of $150,000), including a new category for Investigative Reporting, alongside awards for Print, Broadcast, Cable Network, Digital Reporting, and reporting by members of the White House Correspondents’ Association.

There are no entry fees, and journalists or editors may submit work directly.

Eligible work must have been published or aired between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025, and the recently extended submission deadline is February 20, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET).
