LeaderEthics and the League of Women Voters of LaCrosse have endorsed “Cutting Through the Noise: A Call for Civil Discourse,” scheduled to take place from 3:30-5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at The Lunda Center at Western Technical College in LaCrosse.

UW-LaCrosse, Viterbo University and Western Technical College present “Cutting Through the Noise: A Call for Civil Discourse,” from 3:30-5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at The Lunda Center at Western Technical College, 333 7th St. North in LaCrosse.

Both LeaderEthics and the League of Women Voters of the LaCrosse Area endorse this program, which offers practical tools for navigating difficult conversations, tips on how to engage with curiosity instead of conflict and allows participants to be a part of a regional effort to build understanding across the campus and within the community.

Bill Doherty, co-founder of the national organization Braver Angels, will be featured at the event. College leaders James Beeby, Rick Trietley and Roger Stanford will be heard from along with a message from students.

Students, staff and the public are invited to this engaging conversation about how we speak, listen and learn across differences. It’s being offered as a shared effort between the three educational institutions to strengthen campus communities through respectful, productive dialogue.
