James Kuckkan recently joined the staff of the Watertown Daily Times as a reporter.
A story in the WDT’s Jan. 13, 2026 issue covered the new hire. According to the story:
Before joining the Daily Times, Kuckkan was a TV news reporter in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and a copywriter in Iowa City and Manhattan.
Born and raised in Watertown, Kuckkan spends his spare time building websites, drawing, traveling with his girlfriend, spending time with family and playing with his cat.
“I’m looking forward to telling Watertown stories and getting to know more people in the community,” Kuckkan wrote in his introductory story.
