Kindiger joins LaCrosse Tribune as general assignment reporter

Cole Kindiger

Cole Kindiger joined the La Crosse Tribune newsroom Monday as a general assignment
news reporter, according to a Nov. 13, 2025 story in the Tribune. According to the story:

Kindiger recently finished a copy editing internship with the Richmond Times-Dispatch,
a sister paper of the Tribune. He graduated from Georgetown University with degrees
in journalism and American studies. While at school, he worked at a campus magazine
as copy chief and culture reporter.

Kindiger also interned with Street Sense Media — a nonprofit newsroom in Washington, D.C., that covers poverty and homelessness.

Whether covering troubles in Richmond city government or the daily lives of D.C.  street performers, Kindiger has maintained a passion for local issues. Although he plans on covering a wide variety of topics, he’ll focus primarily on health care, energy and the environment, and county government.

Kindiger, who hails from a small city outside Dallas, Texas, loves country music and fears his first Wisconsin winter. Contact him via email at cole.kindiger@lee.net or by phone at 608-791-8220.
