July is here, and it’s the perfect time to embrace one sweet summer tradition—blueberry picking. With National Blueberry Month in full swing and National Blueberry Day on July 11th, there’s no excuse not to indulge in this seasonal favorite. Explore farms to pick-your-own, or shop local stores offering unique tastes of the classic blueberry.

Grab a bucket, gather your family or friends to enjoy sunshine, fresh air, and flavorful fun that Wisconsin has to offer this July!

Blue Clay Berry Farm – Delevan, Walworth County

Just 6.7 miles from Lake Geneva, the family-run farm transformed former cow pastures into a berry lover’s paradise by planting 700 blueberry plants. They’ve been providing fresh fruit to the community ever since, and have become a summer favorite in southern Wisconsin. Check Blue Clay Berry out!

Looking for a morning activity before picking? Head to Lake Geneva to enjoy the seasonal Farmer’s Market held every Thursday from 8:00 am-1:00 pm. Shop local produce, including blueberries, jams, pies, and other seasonal goods. Walk through the stalls, chat with local vendors, and try a blueberry pastry (or two) while soaking in the community spirit.

Blueberry Haven – Bear Creek, Outagamie County

Under an hour from Green Bay, Blueberry Haven has been serving the Bear Creek community since 2005. They now offer five varieties of blueberries over 15 acres of land! Customers are welcome mid-July through August to pick their own or purchase pre-picked berries. Customers are encouraged to check availability for pre-picked berries.

Cool off after picking with a visit to Kist Kandies & Ice Cream in nearby New London. Located in a 100+ year old soda bottling facility, this sweet shop offers candies, chocolate, fudge, and ice cream.

Erickson Orchard – Bayfield, Bayfield County

While you’re in the area, don’t miss the Iron River Blueberry Festival, held this year from July 24th–27th. Now in its 61st year, the festival features a pie-eating contest, fireworks, parade, raffles, live music, and more—it’s small-town summer fun at its finest.
