Sports reporter Jimmy Oswald has left the Beloit Daily News for a new job that will bring him closer to his alma mater, Kent State University, and his hometown of Howland, Ohio.
“Thank you to each and everyone who has ever interacted with me,” Oswald concluded his July 1, 2025 farewell column in which he recounted the many sports he’s covered and thanked the BDN’s Clint Wolf and Jim Franz. “My time in Wisconsin has been life changing, and I won’t forget a second of it.”
