Community news and sports coverage now have a full-time reporter on staff with The Edgerton Reporter. Mikey Rottier has been contributing to The Edgerton Reporter since late last year but his full-time status was shared with readers in The Edgerton Reporter’s June 18, 2025 issue.
The UW-Whitewater senior now brings dedication to journalism and a growing track record of reporting experience to full-time newspaper service in Edgerton. Rottier will graduate with a journalism degree in December. His studies include broadcast, print, and web journalism familiarity, with an electronic media minor, and a certificate in sports communications.
Throughout his UW-Whitewater academic career, Rottier has worked with the Royal Purple student newspaper. In addition, he’s enjoyed a summer stints with Jefferson Speedway Racetrack and an internship with the Lakeland Times in Minocqua last summer.
