
Winneconne News editor Becky LaDue will retire on June 27, 2025 after 20 years with the newspaper.
Instrumental in securing new ownership of the News, LaDue made it her mission to keep the newspaper publishing after the death of John Rogers in 2023.
Chris Lusvardi (pictured), who began in May as editor of both the Neenah News and Oshkosh Herald, will takes the reigns at the Winneconne News beginning in July. He has a master’s degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn. He has lived in Oshkosh since July 2022 with his wife, Amber, and daughter, Chloe.
An open house at the Winneconne News office, located at 908 E. Main St., in Winneconne, on June 26 will introduce Lusvardi to the community and say farewell to LaDue. The community is welcome for refreshments and giveaways from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
