Monroe County Herald welcomes new editor

Erica Dynes Jackson

Erica Dynes Jackson recently joined the Monroe County Herald as the newspaper’s new editor. Jackson started her new position Monday, June 2. She began her news career in 2016 as a sports and news reporter at Capital Newspapers for the Juneau County Star-Times in Mauston.

From there, Jackson became the full-time news reporter for their sister papers the Reedsburg Times-Press and the Wisconsin Dells Events. During her time at Capital Newspapers, she won a Wisconsin Newspaper Award in 2017 for Best Enterprise/Interpretive Reporting for a story she wrote on challenges rural families face during premature birth.
