On April 17, 2025, the new Independent Star News debuted its new format.
The newspaper is a combination of the Reedsburg Independent, Star News and Home News. The new publication will feature content from the Reedsburg, Sauk City, Prairie du Sac, and the River Valley area including Spring Green, Arena, Plain and Lone Rock.
The publications’ Sauk County news websites will eventually merge into one, but currently are using their old websites.
