Sunshine Week, a nonpartisan collaboration among groups in the journalism, civic, education, government and private sectors that shines a light on the importance of public records and open government, is set for March 16-22, 2025.
WNA encourages you to write and share editorials, stories and columns about the importance of openness –- also known as “sunshine” — to your community. Additionally the national Sunshine Week project has several resources, including guest columns, editorial cartoons and more.
Sunshine Week is funded in part through an endowment from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as well as by the Joseph L. Brechner Freedom of Information Project at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, as well as a growing list of partners, including the Wisconsin Newspaper Association.
