Leader-Telegram shifts from AP to APG markets graphics

The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram announced it is no longer publishing markets graphics and information from the Associated Press, which decided to discontinue its markets graphics.

Instead, ECLT will shift to a markets package from its parent company, Adams Publishing Group.

“In some ways this is actually a throwback to the AP’s original approach. The clue is right in its name. The company formed as a cooperative effort to allow members to better cover places and subjects they weren’t able to get to under normal circumstances,” the paper printed in an Our View column on Feb. 12. “By using the resources APG has, spread across hundreds of papers nationally, we’re able to bring readers a replacement.”
