If you haven’t checked out the Wisconsin Newspaper Association’s Facebook page lately, you’re missing out on a lot of linked resources to help journalists, editors, publishers and others related to the news and sales sides of news operations.
For example, just in the last week alone, the WNA Facebook page has included posts from Student Press Law Center, Columbia Journalism Review, Investigative Reporters & Editors, Wisconsin Watch, The News Literacy Project, The Journalist’s Resource, American Press Institute, Twipe and Twipe Mobile, the International Center for Journalists, the Society for Professional Journalists, the Center for Integrity in News Reporting, the Committee to Protect Journalists, Investigative Post and the National Press Photographers Association.
Key among those posts is a post from SPJ, which has partnered with a coaching firm to offer self-care and wellness resources to SPJ members; a post about journalists and election safety from the Committee to Protect Journalists; and a post about a news writing contest with a $25,000 grand prize from the Center for Integrity in News Reporting.
The WNA Facebook page also carries regular reminders about the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Better Newspaper Contest, Civics Games, the annual WNA Convention, posts from the WNA website, and more.
