Mark Justesen, who has taken generations of photos for the Cedarburg News Graphic, has left the newspaper. His last day was Friday, Oct. 11, 2024.
Justesen first started at what was then the Cedarburg News Graphic Pilot, which was owned by the Schroeder family.
“My philosophy on leadership was to surround myself with capable talent,” said Bob Schroeder Jr. “I know that is a common philosophy, but very sound. Mark was a hire I never regretted.”
Over the decades, he has won countless Wisconsin Newspaper Association Awards for his work, includ- ing multiple first-place awards. Last year, he won first place in All-Around Newspaper Photography Category. The judge in the category wrote: “The undeniable highlight of this newspaper is found on its sports pages where photographer Mark Justesen’s talent shines.”
