The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel aims to assist local high school students in learning more about journalism — ranging from mentoring and field trips to the newsroom to job shadowing opportunities.
Are you a high school instructor who teaches journalism or media classes? Or an adviser who works with student journalists? Are you part of a community group that works with young people interested in journalism or media? Or do you work in some other way with students wanting to know more about news media or journalism?
The Journal Sentinel is now offering several ways to help interested students:
Hosting field trips to the Journal Sentinel newsroom in downtown Milwaukee
Making available a journalist to speak to your class or group
Pairing a journalist with your class or group as a journalism mentor
Matching a journalist with a student for a job shadow
