To celebrate the 55th anniversary of The Badger Herald student newspaper on the UW-Madison campus, the staff is inviting alumni and students to join them in Madison for a weekend of reconnection, football and fun from October 4 – 6, 2024.
Events include:
Monona Terrace Rooftop Cocktail Party: The Anniversary Weekend will feature a cash bar cocktail party from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, October 4 at the stunning Monona Terrace Center Rooftop. Located within walking distance of campus, the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center offers breathtaking views of the city, as well as both Lake Monona and Lake Mendota.Tickets cost $55 plus a processing fee and are available through EventBrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-badger-herald-55th-anniversary-celebration-tickets-1004104301997
Game Day Bar Crawl: Meet at State Street Brats, located at 603 State St. in Madison, at a time to be announced on Saturday, Oct. 5, when the Badgers football team is scheduled to take on Purdue at Camp Randall Stadium.
Badger Herald Office Visit: The Badger Herald, located at 152 W. Johnson St. #202 in Madison, will host an office visit at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6.
Anniversary merchandise: The Badger Herald will offer exclusive Badger Herald 55th merchandise through an online merch store that will be open starting October 4th. During the 55th Anniversary events, you’ll find scannable QR codes and links to easily place your orders. Merchandise will be shipped when the store closes, following Anniversary Weekend.
