As part of the WNA Foundation’s mission to increase public awareness and appreciation of newspapers, it annually recognizes visionaries and innovators in the industry. This year’s Wisconsin Newspaper Hall of Fame banquet will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, at The Madison Club, 5 E. Wilson St., Madison. The event, which is open to the public, will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the event, as well as corporate table sponsorships, can be purchased online.
The 2024 inductees are:
- Rusty Cunningham – retired La Crosse Tribune publisher
- Gary Gaier – former Wisconsin newspaper executive
- George Stanley – former Milwaukee Journal Sentinel editor and current Wisconsin Watch chief executive officer
