John Diedrich, an investigative reporter: won second place in the Feature Series or Project category. His series Behind the Gun conducted a first-of-its-kind investigation into gun deaths across Wisconsin.

Kelly Meyerhofer, higher education reporter: won third-place in the General Feature category, which recognize “storytelling at its finest.” Her winning story covered UW-Richland’s quirky “Road Rallye” tradition before the school’s closure.

Zac Bellman, sports reporter: won third place in the contest’s only category for sports features. His story looked at a local student-athlete whose love for basketball helped him find support amid life with autism.
