Lainey Seyler, who has helped manage digital operations at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel since 2016, has been named the newspaper’s deputy editor for audience, editor Greg Borowski announced last week.
Over the last six years, Seyler has worked in a variety of roles, quickly rising through the ranks to her current position. Most recently, she served as manager of digital operations. Her work provides readers with information via text, video, audio, online, social media, newsletter, print and more. She also oversees the newspaper’s visuals team, breaking and trending news teams, as well as the producers and planners.
Prior to joining the newspaper as lead digital editor, she served as associate editor for Taste of Home, published by the Reader’s Digest Assocation. She also held various positions with Omaha, Nebraska-basked companies H&A Media Group, The Reader and Edible Omaha, as well as America’s Test Kitchen in Brookline, Massachusetts. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.
