Natalie Dillon, a 2021 graduate of UW-Oshkosh, has been named sports editor of The Monroe Times, the newspaper announced in October.
After graduating from college, Dillon spent a year as sports editor of The Crookston (Minnesota) Times before returning to Wisconsin to accept the new role with her hometown newspaper.
In her introductory column, Dillon cited her desire to be closer to family and to give back to the paper that actively covered her high school softball career.
“While I am personally thrilled to start this new journey, my hope is that other athletes will race to our website or newspaper like I once did,” she wrote. “I want to continue the tradition of great coverage for our community and athletes.”
