Daniel Kramer, a longtime photojournalist and Green Bay native, has joined The Press Times as managing editor, the newspaper announced Friday.
Kramer earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota. While in college, he freelanced as a writer and photographer for The Minnesota Daily and interned as a writer for the Star Tribune.
After graduating, he served as sports editor at a small paper in Sturgis, S.D., as well as The Record Gazette in Banning, Calif. He went on to earn his MFA in documentary photojournalism from the Academy of Art in San Francisco and was selected to the Eddie Adams Workshop as one of the top 100 college photographers in the country.
After seven years of traveling and working as a freelance photographer, Kramer worked as a staff photographer for the Houston Press from 2003 to 2009. He has since worked as a photography instructor and independent photographer.
