Paul and Kim Fanning, owners of the Cashton Record for nearly 24 years, have announced the sale of the newspaper to Evans Print & Media Group. The Sparta-based news group is owned and operated by Greg and Sue Evans, who also own the Monroe County Herald and the Hillsboro Sentry-Enterprise.
The Cashton Record, a weekly newspaper with a circulation of 3,000, has a 126-year history of being the local source for news, sports, events, and advertising. The new owners will continue to serve local businesses from the existing office, with no change to current staffing, according to the announcement.
