2022 WNAF Better Newspaper Contest now accepting submissions

The WNA Foundation Better Newspaper Contest, which recognizes newspaper excellence across more than 50 categories and five circulation divisions, is now accepting entries for the 2022 contest.

The submission deadline for the 2022 WNA Foundation Better Newspaper Contest is Monday, Oct. 24. Hard copies must be postmarked by Friday, Oct. 21.

Entrants are recognized across five contest divisions — two daily and three weekly. Newspapers are placed in divisions based on the number of copies of a single issue (print + e-edition) published nearest to the filing date of their Statement of Ownership published within the contest entry period.

The five newspapers that accumulate the most overall points from editorial and advertising awards will be named Best of Division. The top two newspapers across daily and weekly circulation divisions will be named Newspapers of the Year.

This year’s contest will be judged by members of the Arkansas Press Association.
