How do courts decide who will get custody of children in a divorce? What are the rights of residential tenants by county? What is the legal cost of impaired driving? What are the five steps to take if you are injured after an automobile accident?
These legal topics, and a host of others, will be the focus of a new column — Know Your Legal Rights — produced by lawyers in the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service. The stories will be made available to WNA members for republication at no cost twice a month, beginning April 1.
Additional topics include:
- Common child custody issues during the holidays
- No money down: How contingency fees work in personal injury cases
- How does small claims court work?
These columns will address common legal questions that members of the public face on a daily basis in your local communities. Be sure to keep your eyes open for this new column.
