Kelly Lecker, a veteran journalist and Wisconsin native, has been named executive editor of the Wisconsin State Journal, the Madison newspaper announced Friday.
Lecker will take over the role on April 11. She succeeds Jason Adrians, who was named vice president of local news for Lee Enterprises in January.
Currently serving as interim editor and managing/investigative editor for the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch, Lecker has spent the last 13 years with the Gannett-owned newspaper. Previous roles include assistant managing editor, digital news editor and assistant state desk editor.
