Trevor Greene and Kelly Holm are the two newest reporters in The Lakeland Times newsroom, the Minocqua newspaper announced last week.

Greene and Holm introduced each other to readers through a pair of Q&A articles. Both joined The Times in September.

Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, Greene graduated from Pewaukee High School before earning his bachelor’s degree from UW-Milwaukee. The job with The Times is the first in newspapers for Greene, who has a particular interest in reporting on government and public policy.

Holm also is a Wisconsin native, having grown up in Hudson. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn., where she studied English and creative writing. While in college, she also wrote for the school’s student newspaper, The Oracle.

Prior to joining The Times, Holm served as an intern for The (Osceola) Sun. Her work as an intern earned Holm first-place honors in the 2019 WNA Foundation Better Newspaper Contest for a feature on homeschool students.
