Mitchell Keller has been named editor of the Dodge County Pionier, the Mayville newspaper announced Thursday.
Keller fills the role vacated by Karen Rouse, who remains with the Pionier as a contributor. He also will continue to serve as sports editor for the newspaper.
A native of the Kettle Moraine area of southeastern Wisconsin, Keller has been a member of the Pionier news staff since October 2018. Prior to joining the Pionier, Keller worked for five months as a sales and service specialist for its sister papers, the Campbellsport News and Kewaskum Statesman.
Keller graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 2012, earning his bachelor of fine arts degree in journalism and film. After graduating, he served as a programming intern for the Milwaukee Film Festival and later a production intern for NFL Films.
