The National Newspaper Association Foundation has launched a new postal education program named after longtime NNA postal guru Max Heath, the foundation announced last week.
The Max Heath Postal Institute will focus on educating newspapers and printers on the best practices within the U.S postal system.
Heath died on July 28 at the age of 75. He had served as NNA’s top postal expert since 1989, when he joined the Postmaster General’s Mailers Technical Advisory Committee.
As a leading postal specialist, Heath served as a valuable resource for newspaper publishers in Wisconsin and across the country. He also conducted many training seminars for NNA, WNA and other newspaper associations. His educational materials continue to be used by the NNA Foundation to assist community newspapers to this day.
