WATERTOWN — Scott Peterson, managing editor of the Watertown Daily Times and WNA Foundation Board president, has been named group editor of APG Southern Wisconsin, the group announced this week.
In addition to his duties at the Daily Times, Peterson will oversee the editorial departments of the Daily Jefferson County Union in Fort Atkinson and the Hometown group of weekly newspapers. The managing editors of the newspapers will report to Peterson.

A veteran Wisconsin journalist of more than 40 years, Peterson served most of his career with Journal Communications as an editor overseeing several suburban Milwaukee weekly newspapers. He has been president of the WNA Foundation Board since November 2018.
APG’s Hometown group includes The Herald-Independent and McFarland Thistle, Sun Prairie Star, Lake Mills Leader, Waunakee Tribune, The (Waterloo/Marshall) Courier, the Cambridge News & Deerfield Independent, Lodi Enterprise, DeForest Times, Poynette Press and Milton Courier.
