EAU CLAIRE — The Leader-Telegram announced Monday it is partnering with The New York Times to tell the stories of Americans who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Eau Claire newspaper is one of several across the country teaming up with the Times for the project, in which the newspapers will publish stories and periodic updates as they follow local jobless residents for several months.

In its announcement of the project, the Leader-Telegram put out a call for Chippewa Valley residents willing to share their stories of how they lost their jobs and what happens next. Those interested in participating should contact reporter Eric Lindquist at eric.lindquist@ecpc.com by Saturday, May 30, with their contact information and a brief synopsis of their jobless story.
