Nonprofit news organization Madison365 was among 50 newsrooms announced as recipients of the first round of FJP Community Network grants to support coronavirus news coverage.
The Facebook Journalism Project, the Lenfest Institute for Journalism and the Local Media Association announced the first round of grants Thursday. A complete list of grant recipients will be announced in early April.

Each of the 50 newsrooms selected in the first round will receive $5,000 grants to help cover unexpected costs associated with covering the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis.
