MARINETTE – Billy Betts, a sports writer for the (Marinette) EagleHerald, announced on Monday his departure after 10 years with the newspaper.
Betts cited increasing family responsibilities — including a second child expected on Friday — for his decision. He noted that writing for the EagleHerald was not his full-time career, and while it was “the most fun I think I ever could have had,” he no longer was able to commit to covering sports for the newspaper.
In his farewell, Betts thanked the EagleHerald for the opportunity and thanked its readers for their support.
