WEST BEND – After more than 10 years as a part of the Daily News sports department, Adam Lindemer is leaving the West Bend newspaper to accept a role as reporter and assistant editor for the DeForest Times-Tribune and the Lodi Enterprise and Poynette Press.

Lindemer announced his departure in a farewell column Tuesday, thanking the Daily News and its readers for 11 years of memories. He also shared several of his favorite moments from covering the past decade of high school sports in Washington County.

After graduating from UW-Stevens Point in 2007, Lindemer accepted his first full-time post-college job in February 2009 as a sports reporter for the Daily News. He remained in that role for 11 years, while also serving as interim sports editor in 2016. Lindemer won several WNAF Better Newspaper Contest awards during his tenure, including second place for Sports News Story in 2017 and 2018.
