Friedman and Godfrey & Kahn colleague Brian C. Spahn are slated to staff the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press’ legal hotline from July 13-16, as approximately 20,000 journalists cover the DNC from Milwaukee. Their pro bono legal help is part of an array of resources provided to journalists by the RCFP and the National Press Photographers Association.

Additional resources provided by the RCFP and NPPA include an updated Election Legal Guide, available in both English and Spanish. The guide includes information about exit polling, newsgathering in or near polling places, ballot selfies and more.
