Readers visiting WNA member websites and social platforms from Jan. 8 to 22 were asked whether they would be in favor of legal sports gambling in Wisconsin. Nearly half of the 356 respondents said yes, while 15% were undecided. The full question and results can be found below:
Iowa, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan all legalized sports betting last year. Would you be in favor of legal sports betting in Wisconsin?
- Yes: 173 (49%)
- No: 129 (36%)
- Undecided: 54 (15%)
While the sample size for our poll questions remains small, the results can still offer members a starting point for writing their own stories. As more members post the poll questions and engagement increases, we hope to offer more statistically significant results.
