SUPERIOR – Jen Zettel-Vandenhouten started a new role this week as regional editor for the Duluth Media Group, which includes the Superior Telegram.
Zettel-Vandenhouten, a Door County native and UW-Madison graduate, introduced herself to readers in a column Wednesday. In her role as regional editor, she oversees the Telegram, as well as the Pine Journal in Cloquet, Minn., and Lake County News-Chronicle in Two Harbors, Minn.
Most recently, Zettel-Vandenhouten had served as engagement editor for USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin since September 2018. Previously, she held the same role for The Post-Crescent in Appleton, where she also served as education reporter for four years beginning in February 2013.
Before joining Gannett, Zettel-Vandenhouten started her professional career covering education at the Watertown Daily Times from late 2011 to early 2013. She also served as an intern for the Wisconsin Newspaper Association for two years while in college.
