Jeff Patterson, central division president of Adams Publishing Group, and Matt McMillan, CEO of Sentinel Publications, have been selected as members of the board of directors for the newly formed America’s Newspapers.
The new association, which ceremonially launched this month in Chicago, formed through the merger of Inland Press Association and Southern Newspaper Publishers Association. Its mission is to be the industry’s largest voice for local newspapers.
Patterson and McMillan are two of 25 members of the new board, which includes four officers, nine former IPA board members, nine former SNPA board members and three research and development partners. The board’s officers are President Chris Reen, Vice President Alan Fisco, Treasurer Nat Lea and Secretary Cameron Nutting Williams.
As president of APG’s central division, Patterson oversees all of its Wisconsin newspapers. He also serves on the WNA Board of Directors. McMillan’s Sentinel Publications group owns three Wisconsin newspapers, the Amery Free Press, (Grantsburg) Burnett County Sentinel, and The (Osceola) Sun.
