MADISON – Top polling experts will discuss issues and trends that will affect the 2020 presidential campaign on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at WisPolitics.com’s inaugural Midwest Polling Summit.
The event will kick off with a discussion of health care issues in the Midwest. Included in the discussion will be Ashley Kirzinger, polling expert for the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation, and several top campaign advisers with strong ties to the region.
A panel on the “future of polling” will be led by Charles Franklin, Marquette University Law School poll director, and include Mike Podhorzer, former political director of the AFL-CIO and now senior adviser to the president, as well as Ashlee Rich Stephenson, vice president and national political director, U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
UW-Madison political scientist and author Katherine Cramer, who in March 2016 published “The Politics of Resentment: Rural Consciousness in Wisconsin,” will follow the panel with closing thoughts on public opinion research.
Cost for the event is $65 for WisPolitics.com subscribers and members, or $80 for the general public.
