LA CROSSE – Lee Enterprises has chosen Sean Burke to lead River Valley Media Group as president and publisher, the La Crosse Tribune reported Tuesday.
Burke takes over the role from Josh Trust, who had held the position since April 2018. Most recently, Burke served as publisher of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in Texas for nearly 18 months. He previously spent more than 10 years with GateHouse Media’s New England group, serving as regional publisher before becoming president and group publisher.
In his new role, Burke will manage operations at the Tribune, Winona (Minn.) Daily News, Chippewa Herald, The (Menomonie) Dunn County News, (La Crosse) Coulee Courier, The Tomah Journal and Monitor Herald, the (Viroqua) Vernon County Broadcaster and the Westby Times.
