KAUKAUNA – The (Kaukauna) Heart of the Valley Times-Villager last month received a Public Relations Appreciation Award from the American Legion Department of Wisconsin.
Nominated by Little Chute Post 258, the newspaper was honored in the award’s press category on July 19 at the Legion’s annual convention in Middleton. Editor Brian Roebke accepted the award on behalf of the newspaper.
The Times-Villager covers American Legion posts in Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute and Sherwood, as well as VFW posts in the area. Submitted with the award nomination were 61 examples of the newspaper covering and honoring veterans over the previous year.
