SHAWANO – NEW Media Inc. recently announced several changes to its northeastern Wisconsin publications, which include the Shawano Leader, The Wittenberg Enterprise and Birnamwood News and the Oconto County Times Herald.
Most significant among the changes is the move to a “new, modern ‘booklet’ format” for all publications. Additionally, the days and frequency of print publications are changing for the Shawano and Wittenberg-Birnamwood newspapers.
The Leader is moving to a twice-a-week printing schedule on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while the Enterprise and News moves from a Thursday print edition to being included as part of the Leader‘s Wednesday paper.
Digitally, the newspapers’ three websites will be consolidated into one (newmedia-wi.com), with a paywall being introduced on Sept. 6. An introductory offer is available at $12 for three months of digital access, while regular subscriptions are available at 99 cents per day, $10 per month or $99 for a year.
