Former Mukwonago Chief reporter Robin Arbuckle dies at 72

Roberta “Robin” Lorraine (Haasis) Arbuckle, whose working career included time as a reporter, letter carrier and constable, died Friday, July 26. She was 72.

Arbuckle was born Feb. 11, 1947, in Duluth, Minn., to Roy and Eunice Haasis. She grew up in Superior, where she graduated from Cathedral High School.

She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, and had many hobbies, including traveling, swimming and hunting. Arbuckle also was a master gardener, an award-winning speed skater, and a softball player.

Among the jobs Arbuckle held were bus driver, constable and letter carrier. She also spent time as a reporter for the Mukwonago Chief newspaper.

Arbuckle is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Arbuckle, as well as five children and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 17, at Hawthorne Town Hall, 7223 Town Hall Road.
