Adams Publishing Group, which recently acquired the Beloit Daily News, has named Todd Colling general manager of the newspaper, APG’s Central Division president Jeff Patterson announced this week.
Colling has been employed with the Daily News in various capacities since 1999, when he was named the paper’s circulation director. In 2004, he was named assistant advertising director and, in 2014, he was promoted to director of business development.
Prior to working for the Daily News, Colling worked at The (Janesville) Gazette as single copy manager and The (Fond Du Lac) Reporter as circulation director.
Colling, whose father was the longtime publisher of the (Marinette) EagleHerald, got his start with newspapers as a paperboy in Marinette. He later worked at his father’s newspaper during high school in the distribution and packaging department and during college in the circulation department.
Longtime Daily News publisher Kent Eymann is continuing with the newspaper for the next 30 days as the paper transitions to new ownership.
