Marlene Mae (Chapman) Perry, who worked for The Reporter in Fond du Lac, died Friday, May 3. She was 80.
Perry was born Aug. 22, 1938, in Lomira to Archie and Ida (Dins) Chapman. After graduating from Goodrich High School in 1956, she married Alan E. Perry on April 19, 1958, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac.
Marlene worked for Spector Freight, The Reporter and United Service Appraisals, all located in Fond du Lac. She also volunteered as a tax preparer.
Marlene and Alan, who had three children and two grandchildren, loved to travel together and camp in state parks. She also was an avid bowler and golfer, winning many awards in both sports.
