FORT ATKINSON – After more than 20 years as a reporter and editor for the Daily Jefferson County Union in Fort Atkinson, Ryan Whisner has taken a new job as editor of Green Industry Pros magazine.
The Daily Union announced his departure last week, wishing him luck in an editorial. Whisner also wrote a farewell column, recalling some of his favorite moments of the last two decades.
Whisner started with the newspaper in September 1998, when the Daily Union hired him as its city reporter. He earned his journalism degree earlier that year from UW-Whitewater.
