Solutions Journalism Network is seeking grant applications for the second year of its Renewing Democracy initiative, the nonprofit organization announced Monday.

After awarding 30 grants of $2,500 in 2018, the program will award $4,000 grants on a rolling funding cycle going forward. This will allow newsrooms to apply for grants on their own schedule.

SJN is looking for story and project proposals that report about a response to a problem, fit the parameters of Renewing Democracy, reflect potential for impact and resonate with communities. Learn more about the grant criteria and how to apply for a grant.
