NEILLSVILLE – Dee Zimmerman, a longtime employee of The Shopper and the Clark County Press, was recognized Saturday for her 50-year career with the newspapers.
Zimmerman started working part-time for The Shopper in April 1969. Her responsibilities included advertising layout, bookkeeping, recording ads into the accounting system and customer service. When she went full-time in 1974, she added oversight of the Shopper’s delivery to her duties.
When The Shopper and the Clark County Press merged under one company in 1989, Zimmerman picked up additional responsibilities for the Press, including writing her “Good Old Days” column, which remained a favorite among readers.
