PORTAGE – Brad Allen, a Janesville native, has joined the reporting staff at the Portage Daily Register, the newspaper announced Thursday.
Allen, who previously worked for three years as a copy editor at The (Janesville) Gazette, will cover police, courts and public safety for the Daily Register. While working at The Gazette, Allen also designed state, national and world news wire pages.
In December, Allen graduated from UW-Whitewater with his bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in creative writing. Allen also worked at The Royal Purple student newspaper during his college career.
