OREGON – The Oregon Village Board on Monday honored Oregon Observer reporter Bill Livick, who retired from the newspaper on Nov. 5.
Livick wrapped up his career covering the communities of Oregon and Stoughton for Unified Newspaper Group. Previously, he had spent more than a decade as a government reporter and also served as editor of the Observer.
After 18 years covering the Oregon community, the Village Board recognized Livick “for his commitment to responsible and fair journalism, which are both essential to a well-informed public and an effective democracy.”
Emilie Heidemann took over Livick’s role as community reporter earlier this month.
