Larry Larson, a former circulation manager for Madison Newspapers, died Saturday, Nov. 17 at age 82.
Larson, born and raised in Blanchardville, attended UW-Platteville before marrying Sharon Louise Sowl on Sept. 29, 1962. Together they had three sons and five grandchildren.
After college, Larson worked for Bowman Dairy in Madison for several years. He then joined Madison Newspapers, where he served as a district circulation manager until 1982.
Larson left when he and his wife Sharon purchased the Hitching Post bar and grill in Blanchardville, which they owned and operated until 1994.
